Facilities Assistant -

37.5 hours - flexible shifts
We are looking to recruit a dedicated and loyal individual to provide a high standard of food and housekeeping service working in the In-Patient Unit and Bistro. You will also assist in the process of providing the Hospice with a clean, quality laundry service and ensure patients have a clean and comfortable environment during their stay.

Fundraiser (Events) -

37.5 hours per week
St Gemma’s has a fundraising target of over £6 million per year. A self-motivated individual is required to work as part of our busy, dynamic and successful team. The role is responsible for developing and managing various events and initiatives and assisting with larger scale events organised by the team.

Complementary Therapist Volunteer -

Roughly 3- 5 hours once a week, either a morning or afternoon, Monday to Friday
Do you have a qualification in a complementary therapy, such as therapeutic massage, aromatherapy, reflexology or reiki? We're looking for volunteers to deliver these treatments to our patients and their carers.

Charity Shop Volunteer -

24 charity shops across Leeds
Flexible hours
Join the team and help to make St Gemma’s shops a huge success on the high street. Our shops raise much needed funds to support local people facing cancer and other life limiting illnesses. You’ll work in shifts, often donating one or two mornings or afternoons per week but two hours once a week is also valuable to us.

E-Commerce Assistant Volunteer -

Through the St Gemma’s Hospice eBay store we auction a variety of carefully selected items, vintage, collectables, designer wear, most of which has been kindly donated to us. All of the money raised helps to fund the services that we provide to patients and their families. We are looking for volunteers to help in this e-commerce department located at our Retail Hub in Bramley.

We are looking for volunteers to make sensory cushions. A small cushion made from fabrics of different colours and textures can offer comfort and a sensory experience for the benefit of some of our patients

We are looking for volunteers to help at our Bramley Warehouse to help sort goods that are donated to the Hospice. We are very lucky to receive regular donations of clothes, toys, books, CDs, furniture, bric a brac, and much more! We need your help in sorting through the donations so that they can be delivered to our 24 charity shops. Whether you can spare two hours a week or two days a week, we’d love to hear from you!
