We are looking to strengthen our casual Chef team to provide cover during annual leave and sickness, on a as and when basis, sometimes even at short notice.
You will join a dedicated team in the Estates and Facilities department, providing a high standard of food service, cleanliness and a hygienic environment in the main kitchen within the Hospice.
You will need to be organised, possess a broad range of culinary skills, combined with flair and imagination and be dedicated to providing the highest standard of cuisine for our patients, staff and visitors and our expanding function business.
In the Bistro, you may be responsible for serving food and taking payment of meals from staff, volunteers and visitors to the Hospice. Good customer service skills are required along with some knowledge of operating a till.
You will need to be qualified to NVQ level 2 or equivalent with a Basic Food Hygiene certificate, although Intermediate is desirable.
Good organisation skills and the ability to work flexibly are also required for this role. The latest finishing time for this post is 7pm.
