St Gemma’s Hospice is seeking casual Receptionists to work within our Estates & Facilities Team. We are looking to recruit a team of dedicated and loyal individuals to provide a high standard of customer care and to ensure the hospice building is securely locked down on an evening.
 
The Receptionist role acts as a first point of contact for patients’ families, visitors and members of the general public and will provide an efficient reception service. They have a key role in promoting and presenting a professional image to all who visit the Hospice. In addition they ensure that the Hospice premises are left secure and that alarms are set. The post is also responsible for cashing up and securing the day’s takings from the Hospice Gift Shop, so previous till experience is therefore desirable.
 
You will need:

·         Reception and/or Customer Service experience
·         Basic administrative/clerical experience
·         Experience of locking up and alarming a whole building independently
 
You will:

  • Have an excellent telephone manner
  • Have excellent interpersonal skills
  • Have good verbal and written communication skills
  • Have the ability to work as part of a team
  • Have the ability to use own initiative and work with no supervision
  • Be reliable and responsible
