St Gemma’s Hospice is transforming the way in which it generates income and as part of the journey, we are looking to appoint a new Major Donor Manager to lead and deliver our strategy for Major Donor engagement. This high profile role will see the successful candidate establish, grow, develop and steward relationships with philanthropists, ensuring a tailored, inspiring and personalised journey with St Gemma’s Hospice.
You will develop high quality proposals to attract support across the range of Hospice services including a potential future capital appeal. You will develop and deliver effective processes for keeping major donors up to date with the impact their generosity makes.
This role isn’t just about strategy; the team needs a ‘hands-on’, experienced fundraiser to bring passion and energy to our Major Donor programme. The successful candidate will be fully supported by the Head of Individual Giving and Director of Income Generation to drive results and to substantially grow our network across Leeds. This role also manages our Grants and Trusts Fundraiser so strong management skills are also required.
To be successful in this role you should have senior experience and a proven track record in securing major gifts, or strong, executive level business development experience. This role is about showcasing the Hospice to potential donors, showcasing the exceptional work that we do and highlighting the amazing impact people can make through supporting the Hospice.
